Final Project Description

Homework: 

On your blog, describe your final project idea in as much detail as possible. How will you make the intangible, tangible? What sensor(s) will you need? What actuator(s) will you use? Include any sketches or plans that you have.  

Control in mind is intangible, but it should be interesting to do visual control!

When you adjust the fan, do you sometimes find the rotary knob troublesome, or sometimes you can’t adjust to the even wind you want?

I want to make a fan control device. When I slowly approach the sensor with my hand, it will gradually turn on the fan. The closer the sensor is, the stronger the wind. As the hand moves, the LED strip connected to the fan will gradually light up until it reaches the fan.

I will use a distance sensor.  The fan is driven by a motor servo, and I will make my own fan blades.  Then the micro: bit is used as the controller, with its servo and neopixel extensions. All sound operational!

When others don't know it is a sensor at work, you are just like having magic on your hands and controlling the fan with your mind!
